Job Summary
Harmony Hospice Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our hospice team on a PRN basis. As a CNA, you’ll provide essential support and personal care to patients in their homes, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and quality of life during their end-of-life journey. You’ll work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and collaborate with a team that values empathy, respect, and dedication.
Harmony Hospice Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our hospice team on a PRN basis. As a CNA, you’ll provide essential support and personal care to patients in their homes, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and quality of life during their end-of-life journey. You’ll work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and collaborate with a team that values empathy, respect, and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care according to the Aide Plan of Care and under RN supervision
- Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility
- Help patients with safe transfers and ambulation
- Monitor food and fluid intake
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
- Document and report patient conditions and changes to the care team
- Support infection control and safety standards
- Uphold hospice philosophy and promote a respectful, compassionate atmosphere
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- CPR certification (required)
- At least one year of experience preferred in hospice, home health, or long-term care
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto liability insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient mobility
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to various home settings
- Spanish speaking is a plus
